BitToolsKit
About
BitToolsKit is a collection of free, browser-based tools for developers, students, writers and anyone who works with text and data. Each tool does one job, such as formatting JSON, encoding Base64, testing a regular expression or counting words, and explains its result in plain language.
Why BitToolsKit exists
Many everyday tasks do not need a full application. You paste some text, get a result and move on. Too many online tools make that harder than it should be with sign-ups, clutter and unclear results. BitToolsKit aims to keep these small tasks quick, readable and easy to understand.
How the tools work
The tools run in your browser using JavaScript. The text, JSON or other values you enter are processed on your own device and are not sent to the BitToolsKit server by the tools themselves. You do not need to create an account to use any public tool.
What you will find here
- Tools for JSON, encoding, text and everyday development tasks.
- A guide on each tool page that explains what the tool does, how to use it, worked examples and common mistakes.
- Articles on the blog that go deeper into the topics behind the tools.
Who builds it
BitToolsKit is built and maintained by Hanan Chaudhry. New tools are published only after they have been tested and have a complete guide, so the collection grows gradually rather than all at once.
Feedback and suggestions
If a tool gives a wrong result, a guide is unclear or you would like a new tool, please get in touch through the contact page or at info@bittoolskit.com. Bug reports with the input that caused the problem (without any passwords or private data) are especially helpful.
